We mainly restore, retouch and manipulate photos, whether this is due to damage, the lens picking up blemishes, etc or just badly taken photographs.
Photographs can be damaged for a variety of reasons. The main ones are the aging
of the photograph, sunlight and accidents. The damage due to the aging of photographs
cannot be prevented and is primarily due to the chemicals used to print the photograph,
they just don't last that long, modern chemicals last longer but even they can't last
forever. Also some of the cheaper processing laboratories use lower quality chemicals that
don't last long either. The damage due to sunlight can only be prevented if the photograph is kept out of the sun and accidental damage can't be foreseen.
The good news is that most damage can be repaired by us, we can also help with badly taken photos, manipulating the photo and editing the photo to bring out the best whether it is a bad hair day or an outbreak of acne or teeth whitening, we do our level best to help. Although these days most photos are taken on digital cameras, the fundamentals of taking photos haven't changed and the emphasis is on fun.
Most photos these days are taken with compact cameras, primarily designed for snap shots, due to the compact nature of these cameras, very often the photographs produce red eye, this is due to the lens of the camera being too close to the flash, we can remove this as well as edit subjects in and out of your photos.
There are numerous reasons for badly taken photos, these include camera shake, wrong film speed, bad lighting and bad composition. We can help with most situations but bear in mind some photos, which are badly taken, can never be repaired. The main culprit is blur due to camera shake or motion of the subject, this can't always be corrected.
